Just a word of warning to everyone showing an interest: this is going to be the IAG equivalent of a marathon so it’s not for the feint-hearted!
Anyone wanting to compete, please post below and then get applying for a Neural Division 8 club. (and please let me know the name of your club when you get it)
Proposed Rules:
Firstly:
As there will be more participants than promotion places available in each league, I think the aim on the race should not just be to get to the Premiership but to win it outright. Thereby keeping people who missed out on promotion early on in with a chance.
Secondly:
I think there should be a second award for the best overall performance which will be decided on a points system based on league position (20 pts for 1st, 19 pts for 2nd etc. down to 1 pt for 20th) and cup performance (1 pt for each cup match won and 1 pt for a bye).
Thirdly:
The competition will officially start in day 1 of season 7 (Saturday 22 December 2007). Anyone can enter at any time after that, but they must always start in Neural Division 8. However, competitiors will only accumulate points after joining their club (i.e. should a club not become available until day 9, the manager will not be able to claim any points won in the first two rounds of the league cup).
